Bollywood star Amir Khan to likely compromise on his fees after Laal Singh Chaddha’s loss

Aamir Khan hasn’t had a great year because his most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, didn’t do well at the box office. Only Rs. 60 crores were ultimately made at home during the film’s theatrical run. Laal Singh Chaddha’s producers reportedly suffered enormous losses totaling more than Rs. 100 crore. Even before it was released, the film was mired in controversy because it fell prey to the unfavourable #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha trend.

Aamir Khan has reportedly made the decision to completely forego his acting fees and take on all of Laal Singh Chaddha’s losses, according to Bollywood Hungama. 100 crore rupees have reportedly been lost by Viacom 18 Studios. According to a source who spoke to the media, “Viacom 18 Studios would have suffered losses of almost Rs. 100 crores if Aamir Khan decides to charge his acting fees. Aamir Khan, however, has chosen to accept that loss on his own terms. The producer will now suffer a small financial loss.

The 1994 American movie Forrest Gump, which was based on the same-named novel, was remade as Laal Singh Chaddha. The film reportedly cost Rs. 180 crores to produce, and it also became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022 at the international box office, outpacing The Kashmir Files and Gangubai Kathiawadi in terms of revenue.
