The outburst of Coronavirus and the national lockdown has caused a halt in the festivity and cultural event. Now with the improving situation, the light and sound show at the Sun Temple in Konark will be resuming from today onwards with all the safety protocols of the COVID-19.
As per the reports, the Sun Temple authorities have informed that two shows of 40 Minutes each will be held every day, where the first slot will start at around 6:30 PM and the second show will be conducted at around 7:30 PM.

As sue to the pandemic situation, social distancing is mandatory to maintain; only 200 seating arrangements are made in each of the shows. The seating arrangement has been arranged in such a matter so that the visitors kept the social distancing norms. Even thermal screening will be done at the entry point and mandatory wearing of masks for the tourists.
As per the authorities’ information, the show can be watched in three languages –Hindi, Odia, and English and the entry ticket per performance has been fixed at Rs 50 per person.

The show represents the remarkable history of the construction behind the Sun temple and other facts behind it. Last year due to the Fani cyclone, the light and sound show was suspended due to extensive damage to electrical wires and antennas in May. Later this year, in March, the show was again suspended due to the national lockdown and the COVID pandemic.
