Amid the prevailing Covid-19 Pandemic, the state sees a low-key celebration of Durga Puja during this year too, the state government had issued the guidelines that to be followed during the puja. Durga Puja is celebrated with great pump and joy in different cities and towns along with villages of the state. Taking about Cuttack where the puja is celebrated and a grand affair with silver backdrops and gold crowns are adorned to Goddess Durga in many pandals in the millennium city. The puja is also well celebrated with great fervor and joy in the state capital Bhubaneswar too. But this year too due the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic the celebrations are limited following to the guidelines issued by the government.
Talking about Dhenkanal, where Durga puja takes place in a few pandals have also complianced to guidelines issued by the authorities to be followed during the puja. Though every year the puja used to be a grand affair at some pandals but this year likewise last year covid-19 pandemic has robbed all the fervor of the festival limiting it to many extent.
