“MAGA Is Unhappy”: Trump Sounds Warning as ‘Big Beautiful’ Bill Faces Roadblock

Former U.S. President Donald Trump launched a sharp rebuke against members of his own party after his much-touted “Big, Beautiful” tax bill hit a roadblock in the House of Representatives. The bill, which Trump has hailed as the “biggest tax cut in history,” failed to advance during a key procedural vote on Wednesday, jeopardizing his July 4 signing deadline.

In a strongly worded post, Trump warned the Republican Party, writing:
“Largest Tax Cuts in History and a Booming Economy vs. Biggest Tax Increase in History, and a Failed Economy. What are the Republicans waiting for??? What are you trying to prove??? MAGA IS NOT HAPPY, AND IT’S COSTING YOU VOTES!!!”

The procedural motion failed as five Republican representatives broke ranks and joined the Democrats in voting against moving the bill forward. The GOP could only afford to lose three votes to keep the bill alive at this stage.

Republicans Who Voted ‘No’:

  1. Andrew Clyde (Georgia) – Objected to the removal of a provision eliminating the registration requirement and fee for firearms silencers.

  2. Victoria Spartz (Indiana) – A fiscal conservative who opposed the procedure but may support the bill later.

  3. Keith Self (Texas) – Freedom Caucus member backing the June framework but opposed this vote.

  4. Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania) – A centrist critical of provisions affecting the Affordable Care Act.

  5. Thomas Massie (Kentucky) – Known for frequent ideological opposition to party-line bills.

The setback comes as a major blow to Trump, who has aggressively promoted the legislation as a cornerstone of his economic vision ahead of the 2024 election. The bill’s fate now hangs in the balance, with growing questions about GOP unity and leadership effectiveness.
