Family members of Mamita Meher demanded no less than the death penalty for the accused Gobinda Sahu, the president of the residential school at Mahiling village in Kalahandi district.
According to the official reports, the father of the deceased Mamita has demanded to Minati Behera, chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) a death penalty for the accused Gobinda Sahu who is in police custody. He stated that they want justice and arrest of all the accused who were involved in the case.
Further, he stated that the death penalty should be awarded to the Gobinda Sahu. As per the statement of the family members, Mamita was the sole bread earner of the family and their financial condition is not good. Wo which they request to give a job to their son.
Further, the Odisha police are yet to recover the personal belongings of Mamita and even, her mobile phone hasn’t been traced yet.
