MGM Minerals Limited CMD, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, has donated an amount of Rs 1 crore towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for free Covid-19 vaccination for people of Odisha.
According to the reports, a cheque amount of one crore was presented to Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra. The donation by MGM Minerals Limited CMD, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been made from the CSR fund of the company.
While donating the amount Mohanty stated that due to the proactive and prompt COVID management strategy of the Odisha government, the pandemic situation in Odisha is under control. And with the full cooperation of people, the Odisha Government will be able to contain the disease.
The Chief Secretary also thanked the company for its gesture and also urged them to comply with all COVID norms in their office, at the workplace and at homes and to continue awareness activities.
Earlier in March, Mohanty had donated an amount of Rs 1 crore towards the development of the Srimandir Parikrama Project of Shree Jagannatha Temple, Puri.
Last week, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced that people of the State eligible for COVID-19 vaccination will get the coronavirus jab for free. the vaccination will start off on May 1 and the registration process will start from 28the April.
