It has been a rainy week for Odisha. It has been continuous rainfall in almost every part of the State since the beginning of this week. From moderate rain to thunderstorms and even hailstorms, Odisha is experiencing quite a unique winter this year.
However, as per the reports of IMD, there is no respite from rainfall in Odisha for the rest of the week as well. Several parts of Odisha will receive moderate to heavy rainfall and even thunderstorms. Moreover, a yellow warning has been issued in several parts of Odisha for the next couple of days.
The Met Centre has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Kandhamal districts for this week.

Besides, the Met department has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning accompanied with hail over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri for the next 24 hours.
“There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during the next two days. However, the minimum temperature will gradually fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” the weather office had informed on Thursday.
