A seven-year-old girl suffered multiple injuries after her mother and her boyfriend allegedly pushed her out of a moving train near Hoshiarpur. The accused, Pooja Kashyap from Zirakpur and Satpal Singh from Lalru, were arrested on Wednesday. According to the girl’s father, Kapil, who filed the complaint, the incident occurred after he and Pooja had recently divorced. The child, Harnoor, was rescued by a villager and alerted local police. The accused were later apprehended and sent to judicial custody.
Both accused have been booked under Section 93 (exposure and abandonment of a child under 12 years by a parent or caregiver) of BNS, along with relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act at the Zirakpur police station.
