Mumbai Police Get Bomb Hoax Calls At Airport, Taj Hotel

According to an official, an unknown individual called the Mumbai Police Control Room on Monday and claimed that bombs had been installed at the Hotel Taj Mahal and the Mumbai Airport. After the call, the security system was triggered, and both sites were searched; however, nothing unusual was found.

Preliminary investigations, prompted by a complaint, show that the call came from somewhere in Uttar Pradesh at approximately eleven in the morning. The phone has been turned off, but the caller left a very brief message before abruptly disconnecting. According to a source, the issue is being looked into in accordance with protocol.
