Every suicide case raises questions about why the victim committed the act, and although many of these questions may be answered, there are still many instances that remain enigmatic. Suicide cases are growing every day.
Throughout the last five years, there has been a 20.20% rise in the number of suicide cases in Odisha. Compared to the national average of 12.5%, Odisha now has a suicide rate of 12.5%.
Suicide is the main cause of death among 18-39-year-old young women and the second largest cause of death among 18-39-year-old young males, behind motor vehicle accidents. ( Source : The Print )
Every year, suicide claims more than 700,000 lives. Far more individuals try suicide for every suicide that occurs. The single most significant risk factor for suicide in the general population is having previously attempted suicide.
A young man who had just been married was discovered dead hanging in a woodland about a kilometre from his hamlet in Keonjhar on Wednesday.
According to sources, on March 11 of this year, Nirmal Sahu, the son of Laxman Sahu of Kalimati Village in the Harichandanpur Block of the Keonjhar District of Odisha, married Dudhumati Sahu, the daughter of Gurcharan Sahu of nearby Pietagola Village. On March 14, Nirmal was last spotted. After a thorough search, his family was unable to find him after he vanished.
A few people discovered Nirmal’s corpse hanging from a tree on Wednesday, only a little distance from the settlement. These locals reported the occurrence to the Harichandanpur police and the relatives of the deceased. The corpse was taken by police and submitted for a post-mortem. There are many questions regarding the suicide attempt since it is stunning for everyone to learn that he committed himself after just 4 days of marriage. There are also other angles that must be examined to determine the true cause because it may not be suicide at all but rather murder. Investigation is being conducted to know in detail about this problem .
