A cheetah will be brought for visitors by the Nandankanan zoo officials in advance of the zoo’s foundation day on December 29. Beginning in the new year, guests and animal enthusiasts will have the chance to see the new animal. The media was notified by PCCF (wildlife) Sushant Nanda that Nandankanan Zoological Park will welcome a new visitor in the new year. The city zoo will look even better with the addition of cheetahs, white lion cubs, and new birds.
As part of the animal exchange program, the visitors in January will travel from various locations. The central zoo in Alipur, West Bengal, will send a giraffe to Nandankanan, while leopards and white lion cubs will arrive from Dubai.
The State zoo has more than 4000 animals, birds and reptiles. They have been placed in 212 enclosures. There are total of 156 species of animals in the zoo.
