Nawazuddin Siddiqui explains that a supporting part in Bollywood is reduced to a secondary one and that he will only play lead roles going forward.Even if he has to pay for his own films, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has stated that he will only take on main roles, adding that the character need not be heroic but must be significant to the story. In addition to playing a significant role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, he previously collaborated with Salman Khan on the films Kick and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He hasn’t been alongside major stars, though, in a while. Since Raees, Nawazuddin has not been in a star-driven movie, with the exception of a small part in Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4.
Nawazuddin discussed it in an interview with DNA and said, “It’s not like I don’t want to work with Salman or Shah Rukh. If I land a significant role in a big-budget movie, I’ll act similarly to how I have in the past. The difference between the primary and supporting roles matters in this field. No matter if it’s in Hollywood or Europe. However, in this instance, supporting performers are given minor roles. I managed to avoid that, and I don’t want to do it again. Even if I have to put money into the movie myself, I will only take on lead roles.
