Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in 1984 which casts Akshay Kumar in the titular role, as an undercover RAW agent along with Vaani Kapoor who plays the role of his wife and actress Huma Qureshi. Bell Bottom, based on a true story, is a nail-biting spy thriller, in which Akshay Kumar is assigned the mission of rescuing 210 hostages from a hijacked Indian plane.
Bell Bottom was the first Bollywood movie to have started its shooting schedule at an international location after the nationwide lockdown last year. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom will release in cinemas on August 19.
The portrayal of Former Prime Minister Indra Gandhi by actress Lara Dutta was highly praised by the netizens and was trending on Twitter. The actress stated in the trailer launch that – “It is a great responsibility when you portray someone who’s an iconic figure like Mrs Gandhi. It was very important to get her body language right.”
