Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari has laid the foundation stone for a project of National Highway 28 worth Rs 6600 crore in Puri, Odisha. Gadkari shared this news on his official X handle, “Live from the Inauguration and Foundation stone laying ceremony of 28 NH projects worth ₹6600 Cr in Puri, Odisha.” He called this project a step towards development that will provide the momentum to the state’s and nation’s growth.
In this inaugural ceremony, Union Railway minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, prominent BJP leader and spoke person, Sambit Patra participated along with other prominent state BJP leaders.
Apart from this, in the recent Union interim budget, the centre has allocated Rs300 crore under the Janjatiya Gaurav Corridor. Puri is an important religious centre of Oidsha that attracts lakhs of tourists and pilgrims every year, especially during the time of Rathyatra.
