Nitin Gadkari met with Amitabh Bachchan to extend his support for the National Road Safety Mission in India

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, met with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai to solicit support for India’s National Road Safety Mission, a campaign to improve road safety and reduce road crash casualties. According to the news agency ANI, approximately 80,000 people are killed in road accidents in India each year, accounting for 13% of all fatalities worldwide. The ministry of road transport and highways hopes to provide road safety information and reduce the number of people killed and injured on roads each year with the help of Amitabh Bachchan.
