This year’s puja season, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) region would not be charged ground fee for public rituals, according to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s directive. On the request of numerous worship organisations and local MLAs, the CM has made this decision while considering the cultural and spiritual sensibilities of the general population.

As a result, during the next puja season in Bhubaneswar, no ground rent would be levied for the different puja celebrations being conducted in the government grounds. Numerous pujas, including those for Ganesh, Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, and Kartikeshwar, will be celebrated in the coming days. The BMC won’t charge any ground rent for these pujas.
