Amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in Angul district, National Student Union India(NSUI) has come forward to help the needy in multitude ways. While the positive cases are on a constant rise in the district, NSUI has been relentlessly volunteering.
The organization is offering door to door delivery of packeted cooked food to people. The members of the organization are also donating blood and arranging the same . Oxygen cylinders are being arranged for people in need.
Helpline numbers has been put to service for delivering food packets, for the helpless, covid-19 patients, and people those are in home isolation.
The organization has also come to the rescue of roadside beggars and helpless by feeding them during this pandemic . Furthermore, it also distributes masks and has organized many awareness programmes in order to make people aware of the effects of the virus.
Biswaranjan Panigrahi, the district President of NSUI, Angul said, “During this pandemic situation in our state, we request all to come forward to help the needy and helpless people so that the severity of the pandemic can be tamed, if not put a rest to.”
The selfless service of the organization is being praised at different levels.
