Tanmaya Swain, Former President, Utkal University.
As the President of the Students’ Union at Utkal University for the year 2010-2011, here is the picture of a young, promising and dynamic student leader- Tanmaya Swain, President, Utkal University. It is often said that a winning strategy begins at the start, but in politics, nothing is predictable. On the contrary, he didn’t stop chasing his dream of participating in politics. His goal was to provide a conducive environment for his companions to be able to pursue higher studies on the campus. Furthermore, he never failed to make sure that the examinations were conducted smoothly at a reasonable cost. There were many hunger strikes in which he participated for the sake of the then student associations. After he formally ceased from his education syllabus, everything went smoothly. However, his soul remains in the premise of the varsity. Good or bad, he has always tried to be make him available for the causes that matters the most.
He has been consistently inspired by the Honourable Chief Minister, Mr. Naveen Patnaik, for his remarkable success in electoral politics and most importantly for how he conducts himself in personal life with a vision to transform Odisha and make it an illustrious model of development in the world stage.
“I consider politics to be a gentleman’s job because I always remain grounded no matter how important the position”, Tanmaya speaks in a mild manner.
Whoever understands or knows the nitty gritty of politics will understand how difficult it is to reach closer to the top of the BJD hierarchy. Although born in a typical middle class family from Jagatsinghpur, Erasama-Balikuda Constituency, he is applauded for his sincere approach and dedication to the party assignments whether in campaigning for the party candidates or strengthening party cadres by affiliating young students. His working style has never let down his political bosses.
With the prestigious UGC-JRF in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and a NET qualified in Political Science, Tanmaya has a PhD in political science while securing first division with distinction in his entire career. He has also represented Odisha in many national sports events. With a genuinely pleasant personality, he makes sure his inclusion will add value to the party before actively participating in fulfilling the vision of our party president and the number one Chief Minister in this country by transforming Odisha into the best state. Nationally, I am ready to sacrifice my entire life without any hesitation. Tanmaya expresses himself emotionally.
Tanmaya believes in karma and is a sports lover with many prestigious accolades. God has given us the ability to change the needy through our lives. My pursuit is full of love and affection. Politics is a medium that makes life worthwhile. Tanmaya lets out a sigh as he signs off. We wish him more power and strength for his noble heart.
