Dikhyaa Mohanty 
After incumbent Umesh Mishra’s VRS, Odia IPS officer Utkal Ranjan Sahoo was named the new Director General of Police in Rajasthan. On October 27, 2022, Mishra was appointed the DGP of Rajasthan. Utkal Ranjan is an Odisha native who joined the Rajasthan cadre of the IPS in 1988. After completing his M.Tech in engineering geology, he is currently employed in Rajasthan as the DG of the Home Guard.
He was employed in Jodhpur East as an Assistant SP in 1991. Subsequently, he served as the district police chief in Hanumangarh, Sikar, Banswara, Sriganganagar, and Bhilwara, among other districts in Rajasthan. In addition to the President’s Police Medal in 2017, he was awarded the Police Medal in 2005. Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, resident Umesh Mishra was one of former chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s favorite officers.
