At least 20 people were murdered in a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon, including an Odia tourist. Prasant Satpathy, a resident of the Remuna neighborhood in the Balasore district, has been identified as the deceased Odia inhabitant. In a phone call to his relative in Balasore, Anantnag police verified his death. Satpathy’s wife and 11-year-old kid, who traveled with him, are unknown to the local police, nevertheless.

The relative of Prasant Satpathy contacted the helpline to ascertain his condition, and the local police confirmed his death. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi strongly condemned the incident and expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. The Chief Minister has directed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to ensure the safe transportation of Satpathy’s body to his residence in Balasore.
