The 127th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, presided over by Chief Secretary Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS, approved fourteen ground-breaking projects totaling INR 1,713.65 crores, signaling the start of an unprecedented economic transformation in Odisha. These varied investments have the potential to completely change Odisha’s economic environment and establish the state as a top location for investments.
The SLSWCA has approved a number of projects in a number of industries, including power, plastics, food processing, metal downstream and ancillaries, pharmaceuticals, and tourism, in a historic decision. These initiatives, which have the potential to create 5134 jobs overall and have invested a total of INR 1,713.65 crores over seven districts, are anticipated to have a major positive impact on the state’s economic growth.
With Neo Industries Metal Processing Pvt Ltd’s project worth Rs 72.00 Crores, which will create jobs for 50 people, the state is expected to see a boom in steel-related businesses. The project will involve grinding, texturing, and chrome plating for a steel unit in Jajpur that has a capacity of 16,000 units over two phases.
Anand Exports is the industry leader in stainless steel and ferro alloys thanks to its extensive expansion plan in Jajpur. The 0.038 MTPA increase in ferrochrome unit capacity is the scope of the project. It is anticipated that the Rs 628.00 Crore investment will create jobs for 2,828 people.
A metal downstream unit will be established by Asoka Sky Metals Pvt Ltd. This project, which has a project cost of Rs 101.00 Crores and the potential to create 105 jobs, is located in Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur and will contribute to the downstream steel industry.
The approval of luxury resorts and hotels is expected to significantly boost Odisha’s tourism industry. Mahindra Holidays and Resorts’ project involves investing Rs 228.45 crores to build a stunning luxury resort at Sonapur Beach near Bahuda River Mouth, employing 150 people in Chikiti, Ganjam.
