The Communiqué, an annual media conclave, was organised by XIM University’s New Campus in Odisha in cooperation with IlluminatiX_media & PR Cell and took place on January 10, 2024. The event, which had the topic “AI-MEDIA NEXUS: A BITTERSWEET CIRCUMSTANCE,” brought together academics, entrepreneurs and fans to explore the intricate connection between artificial intelligence (AI) and the media environment.

 

Proffesor Kajri Misra, Dean of the School of Human Settlements and Faculty Coordinator of IlluminatiX, welcomed guests warmly and set the tone for an enlightening discussion about the ways in which artificial intelligence and media are intertwined. The inauguration speech by Fr. S. Antony Raj, S.J., the registrar of XIM University, Bhubaneswar, was preceded by a thought-provoking talk by Dr. V Vijay Kumar, dean of the School of Communications.

 

The panel talks, where experts examined the complex inner workings of AI tools—with a particular emphasis on ChatGPT—were the focal point of the conclave. The conversation also covered the changing effects of AI on the digital environment, highlighting the critical necessity of adapting to the quick speed at which technology is developing. The importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in storytelling and content production was highlighted, emphasising the value of authenticity, the human touch, and a feeling of location in stories.

 

As the conversations progressed, it became clear that artificial intelligence (AI) had the ability to revolutionise a number of industries, most notably marketing. The examination of the use of AI in marketing tactics, as demonstrated by creative campaigns powered by AI, was conducted.
