Odisha has received two awards in the Gold Category at the National Taxation Award 2021, instituted by the TIOL. The State was selected based on the responses received from citizens/taxpayers.
According to the reports, GST Commissioner Sushil Kumar Lohani received the award at a function in New Delhi. Odisha received the TIOL National Taxation Award 2021 (Gold) as the best reformist state and Gold Award in GST/State VAT Category.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had congratulated the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha for the two awards after the announcement on February 7. Odisha has been selected as the best reformist state for the industrial infrastructure and skill development, citizen service through technology, ease of doing business, stamp duty rationalisation, support to trade & industry, reforms in electricity & renewable energy promotion and municipal tax.
