Odisha Chief Secy Reviews Preparations For Rath Yatra 2025

The Odisha government has stepped up its preparations as the date of Puri’s famous Rath Yatra draws near in order to guarantee that the magnificent celebration be held in peace and without any interruptions. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja led a high-level assessment meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Thursday afternoon to evaluate the preparedness of all ministries engaged in the event’s organization.

The Chief Secretary stressed the need of smooth departmental collaboration during the meeting and gave staff instructions to make sure that every component of the preparations is done with care. He emphasized that there should be no margin for mistake and gave the police and administrative staff strict instructions to coordinate closely in order to keep the event safe and orderly.

The conference was attended by high-ranking authorities, including the director general of police, Y.B. Khurania; the chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Dr. Arabind Kumar Padhee; and secretaries from important state agencies. Senior police administration officials also took part in the conversation. To provide updates from the ground, a number of people participated online, including the Puri Collector, the Principal Secretary of the Works Department, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Satyabrata Sahu, and the Puri SP.

The conversations centered on all-encompassing plans to handle the enormous numbers anticipated this year. Among the primary areas examined were the installation of CCTV cameras at strategic intersections, the deployment of sufficient police officers, and the establishment of an Integrated Command and Control Center for real-time coordination and monitoring.
