In an effort to boost economic growth and create 7,565 employment in 11 districts around the state, the Odisha government authorized 18 industrial projects totaling ₹3,877.14 crore on Tuesday. Chief Secretary Anu Garg presided over the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), where the permissions were approved.

The most recent batch of approvals coincides with Odisha’s increased industrialization efforts under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, with an emphasis on accelerating investments, guaranteeing quick project footing, and creating jobs. More than 150 industrial projects have been grounded and launched in the last two years, according to officials, demonstrating the State’s focus on converting investment intent into practical implementation.

Metals, sophisticated manufacturing, explosives, electronics, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, shipbuilding, and tourism are just a few of the industries covered by the recently authorized projects. Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh are among the districts that stand to gain.
