Odisha CM Directs Police To Issue SOP, Strengthen Squads: Bomb Hoax At Courts

Following false bomb scares in several regions of the state, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi convened a high-level meeting on Thursday and evaluated the situation. Officials verified all threats were fake texts at the meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, and organizations like the Quick Reaction Team and Bomb Detection Squad looked into the cases right away.

The Chief Minister gave the police instructions to develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and provide bomb squads with up-to-date training. He declared, “Let’s make our skilled forces even more skilled.” Majhi ordered prompt action while having a detailed conversation about the issue with key authorities, including the Chief Secretary and DGP. The meeting was attended by senior authorities including Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of being ready for any dangers while assuring that there is no need to fear. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Saswata Mishra, DGP Y.B. Khurania, and Director (Intelligence) R.P. Koche were present at the meeting.
