BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Mumbai from October 18, aiming to attract investments to the mineral-rich state. During his visit, Majhi will meet with industry leaders and promote Odisha as a prime destination for industrial development.
In a recent interaction with the media in his hometown Keonjhar, CM Majhi confirmed his plans for the Mumbai trip, emphasizing his goal to bring investors to Odisha. He will participate in a roadshow organized by the Industries Department in Mumbai, where he will showcase the state’s potential for rapid industrialization and invite investors to explore opportunities in Odisha.
One of the key discussions on his agenda is the establishment of a steel plant in Keonjhar, a district rich in mineral resources. The Chief Minister’s efforts aim to boost industrial growth and create more opportunities for the state’s development.
This Mumbai visit follows his recent trip to New Delhi in early October, where Majhi engaged with ambassadors, high commissioners, commercial commissioners, and business leaders from various countries to draw investments to Odisha. He also hosted a roadshow in the capital and encouraged investors to participate in the upcoming ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha Conclave 2025,’ scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar on January 28 and 29.
