Similar to other states around the nation, the newly elected BJP government in Odisha is considering measures to reduce alcohol and drug consumption in the state.
“Our administration will attempt to take similar actions as some States have taken action to close liquor stores and reduce drug use. Additionally, our government will act to reduce the widespread use of drugs and alcohol in Odisha. Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Minister Nityananda Gond said, “We will talk about how Odisha can become alcohol-free. We attended the State-level observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse & Illegal Trafficking at the Convention Hall of the Lok Seva Bhavan here today.
According to Gond, establishing prohibition is crucial to creating a thriving community.
“Today’s society has degraded, and the use of drugs and alcohol has disturbed peace and social harmony,” he continued.
