Odisha Department of School and Mass Education launched a state comprehensive career portal that will get necessary information regarding career selection. The portal is in collaboration with UNICEF.
Students can now get all the necessary information regarding career selection with just one click. In collaboration with UNICEF, the web portal will help the students with career selection and apply for professional courses. Now with the pandemic situation, students are in great need of any career advice, so the web portal will help them to make a selection regarding their future career.
Even though this web portal, students can get details about the educational institutions and also can interact with concerned faculty members regarding all the details. This interaction will help them to give clarification regarding their career and what to choose for the course.
This mobile application is developed by the Odisha Department of School and Mass Education to help around 17 Lakh students of Odisha. The web portal is designed in Odia language for career guidance and hosts information about more than 550 vocational courses, utilizing which the students can obtain information regarding 2,62,200 colleges and vocational institutions in Odisha and beyond.
Apart from that, students can also get detailed information about 1120 scholarships, competitive examinations, and foreign scholarships.
Satyabrata Sahu, Chief Secretary of Mass Education Department, stated that this web portal’s main objective is to guide the students of Secondary and higher to their preferred vocational course. Monica Nelson, The Chief of UNICEF Regional Office in Bhubaneswar, who was also present, stated that UNICEF would provide all the necessary aid to help the students move to the professional services after the studies.
