For the completion of the branding of all the PMAY (G) and BPGY houses the Odisha Government directed all the district collectors and project directors of the district rural development agency (DRDA). The State Government has directed them to complete it by the end of February 2021.
Arindam Dakua, Director (special projects) of Panchayati Raj and Drinking department stated that the plaque containing the logo of apprehensive schemes should need to be affixed on the PMAY (G) and BPGY houses by end of February 2021.
The revised design of the plaque was attached by the department in the official circular along with the co-branding will be undertaken in those houses which are completed after the financial year of 2014-15. In a letter, Arindam Dakua stated that the stickers containing the logo and all the beneficiary details of the scheme should no more be affixed on the houses completed since the financial year of 2014-15.
He further added the other details of the beneficiaries are instructed in a letter which is referred to above and should be collected by the tagged officers along with geo-tagging of these houses.
The development comes at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party accused BJD of hijacking the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Even the members of the BJP Mahila Morcha filed an FIR against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Capital Police Station where they accused that the State Government is using the Biju Pucca Ghar logo on houses constructed under the central housing scheme.
