Odisha Government To Put OMBADC To Fast Track

The State government directed departments that administer infrastructure projects from Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC) to finish civil works. The projects to be executed by the first quarter of 2021 as directed by the Odisha Government.

At worth over 3000 crores of the infrastructure projects in health, education and skill development are in various construction platforms. Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy also evaluated the progress of the project at the high-level meeting.

Pradipta Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary Health department informed that five sections of projects worth Rs 1,298.85 crore in health sectors follow implementation in OMBADC districts like Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur. Even the up-gradation of health infrastructure where the investment is of 971.83 crores along with enhanced passage to health services at 95.31 crores, development in emergency care services at Rs 19.06 crore, telemedicine care project in health institutions at Rs 4.75 crore and special public health programmes at Rs 207.90 crore are being executed in these districts.

Satyabrata Sahu Principal Secretary of School and Mass Education stated that the projects for strengthening significant infrastructure and other elementary, secondary, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya and Kasturaba Gandhi Balika Vikash schools had been conveyed up. And the projects will be worked with an estimated cost of Rs 1,652.2 crore.

Sanjay Kumar Singh Skill Development and Technical Education Secretary informed that under OMBADC funding the projects for modernisation of Government ITIs and engineering schools and skill development of tribal youths had been taken up.
