On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha graced the celebration of Navratna CPSE NALCO as the Chief Guest at the NALCO Research & Training Centre (NRTC) in Bhubaneswar.
Professor Ganeshi Lala was highly appreciated due to his deep knowledge and wisdom.
As per the report, the governor praised the hard work of women and who are working tirelessly in various fields. He also lauded women for making a difference and contributing to the growth of the Nation. He later quoted from Ramcharitmanas and the Vedas, where women have been put on the highest pedestal.
Dr. Pratibha Ray, Padmashree awardee & eminent Writer was also presented in the event as the Chief Speaker and delivered the keynote address on various issues concerning women.
Shri Sridhar Patra, CMD, NALCO who was also present in the event stated that women employees have always played a significant role in strengthening the Company and they have always delivered and excelled at their work & beyond.’
Smt. Sasmita Patra, President, NALCO Mahila Samiti (NMS), and members of NMS were felicitated by the Hon’ble Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal & Dr. Pratibha Ray, for excelling at the ‘Mock Parliament’ event, which was organized in the run-up to the Women’s Day celebrations.
Shri Radhashyam Mahapatro, Director (HR), Shri M.P. Mishra, Director (P&T & Finance), and Shri Bijay Kumar Das, Director (Production & Commercial) along with women employees, senior management, and members of Associations & Unions of NALCO were also present on the occasion. Even all the women employees of NALCO were awarded for their performance in a Quiz competition held recently.
