Odisha Govt Holds Review Meeting To Facilitate Smooth Land Sale

An important move has been taken by the Odisha government to streamline the state’s land selling procedure. Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushan Chandra Mahapatra attended a review meeting chaired by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, where a decision was made in this respect.

The purpose of the gathering was to discuss the legal obstacles that have been making it difficult for people to sell their land. Officials from the departments of revenue and urban development, as well as other interested parties, attended the conference.

It was determined during the conference to change the Development Act, the RERA Act, and the Regional Authority Act into Odia in order to streamline the property sale procedure. Pujari has given the Revenue and Urban Development Department representatives seven days to provide a thorough report. The departments have also been directed by the government to locate any bottlenecks in the land sale procedure and take the appropriate action to address them.
