Odisha Govt Introduces New Colour Code For School Buildings

Orange Tan-A is the new color code that the Odisha government has designated for all school buildings, including PM-SHRI institutions, throughout the state. The School and Mass Education Department made the choice with the intention of giving all government-run institutions a distinctive and identifiable visual character.

All prior guidelines for the color codes of school buildings will be superseded by the new color scheme, which will be used during construction, maintenance, and renovation projects. To guarantee a consistent implementation of the new color code, the OSEPA has directed the Collectors in a letter to provide pertinent instructions to the relevant field officials.

“During construction, repair, and renovation projects, it is requested that appropriate instructions be given to concerned field functionaries regarding the adoption of the approved color code in all government schools, including PM SHRI schools.” The letter said that this directive will supersede all earlier guidelines on the color coding of school buildings. The administration had already declared that all government schools will have a new dress code.
