The “Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana” will now include 30,000 additional artists, as decided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday. It is a top priority of the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, according to a news statement from the department. During his district visits, the 5T Chairman received proposals from artists and their organizations to expand the number of artists covered by the program.
Later on, the Chief Minister made the decision to expand the program’s beneficiary list. 50,000 artists are receiving a monthly stipend of Rs 1,200 apiece under this plan. Now, there are 80,000 beneficiaries under the system instead of the previous 50,000. An additional 30,000 artists in the state will profit from this. Our folk arts are a source of great pride for our race, and artists serve as ambassadors and promoters of literature, language, and culture. The addition of new artists to this program will benefit and inspire a large number of artists from throughout Odisha. This will enhance Odisha’s artistic and cultural landscape while also preserving, advancing, and promoting our work.
