Odisha Leads In Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Growth In Four Years

Over the last four financial years, Odisha’s growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is leading to other developed states like Kerala, Punjab, and Maharashtra.

As per the report of India Ratings and Research Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Telangana have recorded the highest GDP growth transcending the national average during the period.

States like Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Punjab, and Chhattisgarh saw significantly lower than the National Average growth as per the report. Even according to the report it assessed states’ performance in terms of financial performance Infrastructure and basic welfare indicators.

The report further indicates where Kerela obtained the highest in terms of the human development index. Further Chhattisgarh and Odisha scored the most profound in the human development index.

Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, and Kerala scored the highest while Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are still growing with the leaders in terms of physical infrastructure. According to the report states like Odisha, Maharashtra, and Assam accomplished to secure a low fiscal deficit between FY11-FY20 which is 2% or lower. However, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Kerala’s fiscal deficit extended on the higher side of over 3.5%.
