Odisha Posts 2nd Highest Gross GST Collection, 3rd Highest State GST Collection In January 2024

In January 2024, Odisha recorded the third-highest ever State GST (OGST + IGST settlement) collection of Rs. 2271.77 Cr. Additionally, the state recorded the second-highest ever Gross GST collection of Rs. 4963.16 Cr. With a collection of Rs. 4963.16 Cr in January 2024 compared to a corresponding collection of Rs. 4255.59 Cr in January 2023, Odisha has registered the second-highest Gross GST (CGST+ IGST+ OGST + Cess) collection ever. This represents a growth rate of 16.63%. Up 10.78% from the same period in FY 2022–2023 to January 24, the progressive Gross GST collection for FY 2023–2024 is Rs. 44502.83 Cr.

With a collection of Rs. 2271.77 Cr in January 2024 compared to a corresponding collection of 1800.86 Cr in January 2023, Odisha has also registered the third largest State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) collection ever. This represents a spectacular growth rate of 26.15%. In comparison to the collection of Rs. 15036.38 Cr in January 2023, which represents a growth rate of 30.36%, the progressive collection of State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) through the month of January 2024 is Rs. 19600.78 Cr.

In comparison to January 23’s collection of Rs. 2942.81 Cr, or a growth rate of 15.53%, the total collected under all Acts overseen by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/IGST Settlement / VAT and Profession Tax, is Rs. 3399.93 Cr on January 24. Up to January 24, the cumulative collection under all Acts amounted to Rs. 29391.65 Cr, representing a growth rate of 20.54% in comparison to the similar collection until January 23.
