Odisha CM Inaugurates Dialysis Centers At 16 Sub Divisional Hospitals

Through video conference, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik opened dialysis clinics in sixteen Sub Divisional level hospitals on Thursday. Under the 5T plan, up to 32 dialysis facilities will open at the Sub Divisional level throughout the state. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister stated that over 4 crore people are receiving free medical care through the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana and BSKY Nabin Card in addition to receiving free care in government health care facilities. People’s concerns about money in the event of illness have been eliminated as a result.

The Chief Minister stated that kidney patients can now receive free dialysis services close to their homes thanks to the establishment of these clinics, despite the fact that treating kidney illness is an extremely expensive endeavor. He claimed that in order to give the residents of the state better access to healthcare, the free dialysis program in Sahay was established in 2018. The nation’s first state to offer this service was Odisha.

This service was launched at all district headquarters hospitals during the first phase. It is now available to hospitals at the Sub Divisional level under the 5T initiative. According to the Chief Minister, 32 sub divisional dialysis facilities will open. He declared that the state government would spend Rs 50 crore a year on giving the patients free dialysis services. The Chief Minister stated that government health facilities are changing and that he values every life. The Ama Hospital initiative is being put into action to give patients improved services. Both the rich and the destitute have access to free medical care.
