Odisha Schools For Class 6 And 7 Students To Reopen From November 15

Schools in Odisha are to be reopened from November 15, 2021, for class 6 and 7 students as decided by the state government after a high-level meeting. Al the necessary Covid-10 protocols and guidelines will be strictly followed which are issued by the School and Mass Education Department and the classes would be held only for 3 hours.

According to the reports, for classes of 6, 7 students the teaching hours will be from 9:30 a to 1:00 pm and both the online and offline modes of classes will be conducted. Students must note that attending offline classes is not compulsory but parents are required to give a consent letters to attend classes from the school’s campus. The COVID 19 appropriate behaviour is mandatory for all the students, teachers and staff involved in offline classes. The classroom teachings have been suspended since the beginning of the pandemic from March 2020.

Odisha Information & Public Relations Department tweeted- “State Govt has been pleased to allow reopening of schools in respect of Class VI & VII students for the academic year 2021-21 w.e.f November 15 2021”.

The state government had reopened schools for classes 8 to 11 on October 21, 2021, and the class 10 and 12 students started attending offline classes on July 26, 2021. Besides schools, first-year postgraduate students have also been allowed to attend physical classes from November 15, 2021. Odisha reported 387 new COVID 19 cases in the last 24 hours.
