The whole of India is seeing big spikes every day in daily positive cases of COVID. The situation is no different in Odisha. For the past seven days, Odisha has witnessed big spikes in every day of daily positive COVID cases. While the cases were less than 200 on new year eve, in the last seven days, the daily positive cases are now nearing the 3000 mark.
In the last 24 hours, as per the reports of the health department, Odisha has clocked 2703 new COVID cases, which is nearly 900 more than the previous daily record of 1,897 cases. Out of 2703 cases, 409 are children.
