In a significant boost to Odisha’s economy, the state is gearing up to host the ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make In Odisha Conclave 2025’, a two-day business summit that promises to be the largest of its kind. The conclave, scheduled to take place from January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar, will bring together over 7,500 delegates from 20 countries, including Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on January 28 at Janata Maidan, setting the tone for a historic gathering that aims to showcase Odisha’s vast investment potential. The state’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, has expressed his confidence in the conclave’s ability to lay the foundation for a strong and vibrant economy, creating vast opportunities for farmers, laborers, and entrepreneurs.
A Platform for Global Partnerships
The conclave will feature a range of thematic sessions, including startup Odisha, skilled in Odisha, and women entrepreneurship. These sessions will provide a platform for global investors to engage with Odisha’s vibrant startup ecosystem, explore opportunities for skill development, and promote women-led entrepreneurship.
The conclave will also host various roundtable meetings, where industry leaders and experts will discuss key sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, and renewable energy. MoUs and Employment Opportunities
During the two-day conclave, over 100 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed, with the potential to create employment opportunities for 3.5 lakh people. This is a significant boost to Odisha’s economy, which has been growing steadily in recent years.

The conclave will also feature a cultural extravaganza, with a performance by renowned Odissi dancer Padma Shri Aruna Mohanty and drone shows. The state’s culture department has made arrangements for these events, which will showcase Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.
