Odisha Signs MoUs With 11 Exporters To Position Itself As Leader In Agri Exports

The Biju Patnaik Playground in Bhubaneswar had a lavish farewell ceremony on Sunday, the last day of Krushi Odisha-2025. The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment (DA&FE), Government of Odisha, organized the three-day event, which effectively highlighted new prospects and creative practices in the horticultural and agricultural industries. The signing of a crucial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the congratulations given to farmers and other stakeholders were among the event’s noteworthy aspects.

The Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (VS) gave a welcoming speech after dignitaries arrived and were congratulated. Dr. Arabinda Padhee, Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Odisha, spoke at the event and gave a thought-provoking speech about the state’s agricultural transformation. In order to make agriculture more resilient and sustainable, he emphasized the use of research and evidence-based techniques. The state’s emphasis on the business transformation of agriculture and its goal to establish Odisha as a model state in agriculture, propelled by innovation, strategic planning, and sustainable growth, were emphasized by Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.

The signing of an MOU with 11 exporters to increase the state’s export of horticulture and agricultural products was a major event milestone. The Memorandum of Understanding, which was facilitated by the Directorate of Horticulture with technical assistance from Palladium Consulting India Pvt Ltd, underscores Odisha’s strategic goal of being a leader in agricultural exports. It is anticipated that this partnership will provide farmers with new opportunities, guaranteeing improved market accessibility, equitable pricing, and international recognition for the state’s output.
