In various areas of Odisha, the daytime temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) prediction. As a result, for the next 4-5 days, the daytime temperature is predicted to be 40°C or more in a few locations in the state throughout a few districts. During this time, the weather is expected to be unpleasant and warm. By 8.30 am on Monday, Bhubaneswar had reached 31 degrees.
On Sunday, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) also released a warning about the current weather. The SRC tweeted, “According to the Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar’s prognosis, there will be a continuous increase in daytime temperatures in several districts. During peak hours, it is urged that people stay indoors and avoid leaving the house unless absolutely essential.
Additionally, the IMD has issued a yellow warning and predicted that light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are very likely to occur in a few locations in the coastal Odisha districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
