Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Registers Highest-Ever Turnover Of Rs 525 Cr

On Thursday, the Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Ltd. commemorated the 44th anniversary of its founding at its headquarters in Bhoi Nagar. Tusharakanti Behera, Minister of State for the Home Department, Minister of State for Electronics & IT, and Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services, attended the ceremony as the chief guest.

CA The honoree was retired director of finance for Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited, Siva Prasada Padhi. Numerous luminaries from the construction sector and Corporation workers also attended the event. In his remarks, the Minister praised the Corporation for continuing to turn a profit each year as well as its efforts to carry out the tasks assigned to it by other departments in addition to the Home Department, including Higher Education, OSRTC, ST & SC Development, Excise, and Health. In the future, he advised the Corporation to operate outside of Odisha in order to benefit the state.

The Corporation had its highest-ever Turnover of Rs. 525 crores in the Financial Year 2022–23, a gain of 40% over the previous year, with a gross profit of Rs. 35 crores, according to Chairman and Managing Director Sanjeeb Panda. Through S.A.P Software, the Corporation automated every aspect of its operations. The Corporation will provide the State Government a dividend worth Rs. 7.5 crores for the current fiscal year. With a budget of Rs. 300 crores, the company is building a model jail in Jamujhari. Additionally, the entire process inside the Corporation is being upgraded to the cutting-edge software SAP HANA, which will further increase the Corporation’s capabilities.
