Year 2022, is not so good to start of in terms of tackling COVID 19. Among the fear of Omicron and impending third wave, Odisha has witnessed a sharp rise in daily COVID cases on January 1. As per the reports, in the last 24 hours the state has witnessed 298 new COVID positive cases.
Therefore, the daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha remained above 200 for the fourth consecutive day.

The state had seen 228 cases on Friday, 225 cases on Thursday, 221 cases on Wednesday, and 156 cases on Tuesday.
