Odisha’s Cultural Extravaganza: Zimbabwean Delegates, Fashion Splendor, and Artistic Brilliance in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, the cultural heart of Odisha, played host to a remarkable event on the 11th of March 2024, as international delegates from Zimbabwe descended upon the city. The distinguished guests, Mr. Faraai Zembeni, National Director of Miss World Zimbabwe, and Ms. Victoria Samushonga, Founder of FabusseAfrica, brought a touch of global flair to the enchanting city.

 

The event was a result of the collaborative efforts of AACCI, Odisha Chapter, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Lita Mohapatra. A dynamic collaboration with Health on Top, led by the renowned Founder & CEO Dr. Gaurav Ralhan, affectionately known as Dr. G in the fashion world, and Green Events & Media on Top, represented by the dynamic duo Mrs. Priya Ralhan & Dr. Lita Mohapatra, curated an experience that transcended cultural boundaries.

 

 

Shri Partha Sararthi Mishra, IAS, Director cum Special Secretary to Govt, Public Enterprises Department, Govt of Odisha, graced the event as the Chief Guest, adding a touch of official prestige. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Bibhu Prasad Tripathy, an environmental lawyer currently serving as an AGA in the High Court of Orissa, further enriched the event with his presence.

 

Miss Zimbabwe, Nokutenda Marumbwa, who had captivated audiences at the 71st edition of Miss World held at Jio Convention Centre Mumbai, adorned an exquisite finale gown. This gown, a true masterpiece, seamlessly fused the creative genius of two distinguished designers from Bhubaneswar – Mr. Pritam Nayak and Mrs. Zaheeda Ahmed. Their collaborative brilliance birthed a gown that transcends fashion, becoming a true work of art. This event celebrated the success story of Odia designers, showcasing their talent on the global stage.

 

 

Adding to the cultural richness of the occasion were the mesmerizing Odissi dance performances by students of Guruji Gajendra Panda from the Tri dhara dance academy. The rhythmic movements and expressive gestures of Odissi dance enchanted the audience, providing a traditional touch to the international affair.

 

 

Eminent guests, including Shri Rajendra Parida (VP AACCI Odisha), Mr. Ronnie Das, Mr. Biswajit Patra, Mrs. Sushree Patnaik, and Mr. Dilip Patra, graced the event with their presence, contributing to its grandeur and significance.
