Varsha Priyadarshini and Anubhav Mohanty, a Hollywood power couple, are having a very different kind of marital conflict right now. Today, the Cuttack Family Court denied Anubhav’s divorce request. The Family Court also denied Varsha’s request for the restoration of her conjugal rights.
On July 6, 2020, Anubhav filed his divorce petition in Delhi’s Patiala House Court. Varsha appealed the decision to the Supreme Court. On March 5, 2021, the Supreme Court sent the case to Cuttack Family Court.
“The judgment has gone against us. We had prayed for divorce on the grounds like cruelty, non-consummation of marriage, desertion, etc. We had submitted evidence but the Hon’ble Court has dismissed our petition for divorce. Also, similarly, the court has rejected their petition which was filed for restitution of conjugal rights. Their petition has been also dismissed by the court. We will definitely approach the higher court challenging the judgment,” informed Lalitendu Mishra, Anubhav’s counsel.
Varsha, on the other side, tweeted from her handle following the decision, “Jay Jagannath, truth always prevails.”
