OMFED To Enter Chocolate Market With Dedicated Manufacturing Plant

According to OMFED’s Managing Director Vijay Amrut Kulange, the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (OMFED) is planning to open a specialized chocolate production facility as part of its planned entry into the chocolate industry.

Kulange told the media that the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and OMFED worked together to create the chocolate design. Once the detailed project report (DPR) is completed, the organization would submit it to the Odisha government for capital investment. OMFED is well-positioned to increase its footprint in the food and dairy sectors with these new projects.

In addition, OMFED intends to introduce bottled water to the market in the upcoming four months. Within a year, the group wants to boost milk output by 10 lakh liters. With intentions to boost production in the near future, OMFED now produces 120 tons of ghee each month.
