This year, the holy month of Kartik will be celebrated from October 26 to November 24. The state government’s Habishyali Yojana will begin accepting online applications for this on October 6. The application link will be open from 10 a.m. on October 6 until the desired amount of applications is received. This year, 2,500 Habishyalis will receive free lodging, Srimandir darshan, and Mahaprasad at three locations: the Railroad Tourist Complex, Municipality Kalyan Mandap, and Brundabati Niwas.

Candidates may apply at https://edistrict.odisha.gov.in from any of the 30 districts. Married women between the ages of 50 and 70 and widowed women up to 70 are eligible to apply. Candidates must be in good physical and mental health. New applications will be given preference. As is customary, housing for Habishyalis will be set up, and volunteers will be sent out for Lord Jagannath’s methodical darshan. Only online registration will be accepted. Once the goal of 2,500 is reached, the website will be shut down.

At a news conference today at Circuit House, the Additional District Magistrate stated that all departments have worked together and finished the necessary preparations to ensure the success of the Habishyali plan this year. Only registered Habishyalis are eligible for special arrangements. According to the ADM, plans are being made to enable darshan for additional elderly and local Habishyalis, but no specific preparations have been prepared for them.
