Orientation session on Anti sexual harassment of women at workplace ,for Internal Committee members of PSUs conducted by Author -Mala Thapar

New Delhi: On 19th May ( Thursday) A master class on practicality and challenges under the sexual harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 for Internal Committee members was conducted by Mala Thapar, consultant & trainer, and the author of the book “ Amazon best seller-“Read, understand and Implement with Ease- The Anti sexual harassment law in India” at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi at 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
The workshop was attended by HR, Legal heads and IC members of more than sixteen PSU’s to understand deeper aspects of the legislation for effective implementation.

Mala Thapar’s recent book The Anti-Sexual Harassment Law in India – Read, Understand and Implement with Ease at Workplace, is indeed a beacon of light for all those who are not well versed with the law. Mala has used a case study approach in the book. Citing various examples of harassment through judicial case snippets, lockdown stories, and illustrations at the workplace, the author weaves them with the Act & its Rules and makes it easy for everyone to understand it. This book is useful, especially for HR professionals, trainers, and Internal & Local Committee members. Additionally, individuals especially women will be able to understand the rights given to them to work with dignity and all Employers will understand their obligation towards building a non-violence workplace. Sexual Harassemt of women is a rising concern in a developing country like India. Initiatives taken like these acts as an instrument to make people aware about these issues and help them to put forward their reaction in the most correct way so that there is no delay in demanding justice. The session was a very insightful one and was applauded by everyone.
